The doorbell includes a PIR motion sensor with a 130° horizontal field of view and smart AI detection for motion, people, pets, vehicles and packages. Notifications can be delivered through the Tapo app, helping you know when someone approaches or a package is detected. The built-in microphone and speaker provide two-way communication with noise cancellation, while the anti-theft alarm can alert you if someone attempts to remove the doorbell.
Power comes from a removable 6700mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery. TP-Link states up to 180 days of battery life based on laboratory testing with 10–20 triggered events per day, although actual battery life varies depending on usage and settings.
